Collect and Prepare Visa Application Documents

A.
Valid U.S. Passport
|
You must send your valid U.S. passport. The passport must have at least 6 months of validity left, and have at least 1 blank visa page. (Blank endorsement pages in your passport are not acceptable.) |

B.
One passport Photo
|
Photo must be 2x2, black and white, or color, with a white, or light background, and show a full, front view of your face. The photo must also be printed on photo quality paper. Any photo printed on regular paper will be rejected by the embassy.

|
|
C.
Visa Application Form.
|
1. This form must be fully completed and signed.
2. Former Chinese citizens must fill in their Chinese name in Chinese characters on the application form.
3. In question # 2.1 of the application form, please list the purpose of your trip as "business".
4. In question # 4.7, please include the full name of the company you are employed by. Abbreviations are not acceptable.

D.
A Business Cover Letter from the Company Sponsoring you in the US.
|
1. This letter must be typed on company letterhead
2. It should be addressed to the Chinese Consulate
3. The first paragraph should introduce the applicant, and state the specific purpose of the trip to China
4. The next paragraph should include the names and addresses of your business contacts in China
5. The third paragraph must state that the company sending you to China will be financially responsible for you while you are in China.
6. The letter must be signed by someone other than the applicant, with their name and title below the signature.
7. A separate letter is required for each applicant.

E.
An invitation from the company inviting you to China
|
You will need to provide on of the following:
An official invitation originating from the Chinese Provincial Government.

F.
Proof of Departure.
|
You will need to submit a copy of round trip airline tickets or itinerary showing round trip flight numbers and times, or a cruise itinerary showing round trip boarding information. Please make sure the following information is also included on any proof of departure documentation:
- Confirmed travel to China within 90 days of submitting the visa application
- The applicants name
- The date of entry into China
- The date of departure
A hotel reservation is also required for obtaining a Chinese visa.

G.
Processing fees.
|
1. Consular Fees: This fee must be paid by money order or company check made payable to the Chinese Embassy. DO NOT SEND PERSONAL CHECKS. Include your name and date of birth on the check or money order. If paying by money order, do not include your address on the money order. This fee can also be paid by credit card, using the customer information form in step #2 below.

All applicants must complete and submit the customer information form.  After submitting the form online print a copy of the confirmation page which appears. The form gives our company information which is used to help accurately process your passport order.

Please send the following via FedEx:
- Your valid U.S. Passport.
- 1 Passport Photo.
- The visa application form, completed and signed.
- The cover letter from the company in the US that is sending you to China
- The invitation letter from the company inviting you to China
- Payment for the consular fees, and service fees.
- The order confirmation page from the customer information form.
