You must send your valid US passport. The passport must have at least 6 months of validity left and at least one blank visa page. You also need to make a photocopy of the picture page and the page opposite the picture page. Send the passport and the photocopy.

Photos must be 2x2, black and white, or color, with a white, or light background, and show a full, front view of your face. The photos must also be printed on photo quality paper. Photos printed on normal paper will be rejected by the embassy.

You will need to submit a hotel voucher from the hotel in Russia or tour confirmation letter with reference number and bearing tour company seal. If necessary, you may contact American Passport Express to arrange this voucher for an additional fee of $60 per voucher . If you are using American Passport Express to acquire this voucher, and you will be staying in a private residence, please leave question #39 on the visa application form blank.

A) Consular Fee: Cashier's check or Money Order made payable to The Consulate General of Russia (see table below) Do not send personal or company checks. Include your name and date of birth on the money order. This fee can also be paid by credit card through the customer information form in step #2 below.
