| If your passport is considered "damaged" then you will not be able to renew it. You will need to follow the lost, stolen or damaged instructions.
Passports with ripped visa pages, ripped bindings, badly peeled laminate, extremely weathered pages or covers, etc. will probably be considered "damaged". You can try bringing your passport to the post office to get their opinion or contact American Passport Express. If you are still unsure then the safe option is to use the lost, stolen or damaged instructions.
